March 21-22, 2022. Spring Trip to Lake Sumner and Santa Rosa

This was the first time the Bear Canyon Fishing Club has ventured to Lake Sumner for a day of fishing. Lake Sumner is about 35-40 miles south of Santa Rosa, NM. 9 adventurous members went exploring. After a day of trying to catch fish, then traveling back to Santa Rosa for an evening of good eating and sleep to attack the fishing areas around Santa Rosa...Perch Lake, Blue Hole, or nearby creeks.

Well weather wasn't very cooperative. Cold, wet and rainy at times with lots of wind. Not the warmest fishing days. Captured a couple of photos from Sumner Lake and Perch Lake. Some photos of wildlife were sent to me as well.

Storrie Lake, March 2022

Club trip with 7 members to Storrie Lake, just outside of Las Vegas, NM. Great weather, but not a good day fishing couple of bites,  but no fish!

Bluewater State Park, Feb 2022

Club trip to Bluewater State Park.  Ran into North Valley Fishing Club out there. Lake still had ice on it!

Ruidoso, NM Fall 2021

Just a couple of photos of the lakes that were fished at in the fall of 2021. Grindstone Reservoir and Alto Lake. Club stayed at the Days Inn Hotel up by Walmart in Ruidoso.
